What information do we collect?
In order to fulfil your online orders we require your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering.
We may share images you share with us of your work or yarn acquisition, but only if you'll give us your consent first.
What will we do with your email address?
We will only contact via email if there is a problem with your order - for example, if your shipping address is incomplete, or there has been an unforeseen delay.
If you decide to subscribe to our mailing list or newsletter we'll keep your email address until you either unsubscribe or request us to delete it. You'll need to confirm your subscription through your email before being added to our list.
Our email is powered by Gmail - a third party email provider and all correspondence is stored in a password protected account.
Who has access to your credit card or payment details?
We process payments using Shopify Payments and Paypal, or if you buy from us at a show, iZettle. We never have access to your card or payment details.
If you order through our website and choose to pay with a credit or debit card, your card information will be stored by Shopify. This is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase, when completed this information is deleted.
How do we store your data?
Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc. they provide us with the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you. Your information is stored through Shopify’s data processing and databases. They are stored on a secure server behind a firewall.
How can I change or delete my information?
If you create an account when making a purchase you can login at anytime and alter your personal details. If you are unable to do this, or would like your information to be deleted, please contact us and we will either edit your data on your behalf, or delete it as requested and request Shopify does the same. Please note that Shopify will not delete your data until the 180 day window for credit card chargebacks has passed and that some anonymised transaction data does need to be preserved for tax purposes.
How long do we keep your information?
Email correspondence is routinely deleted and not stored for longer than six months, unless you're subscribed to our newsletter. All information regarding your orders are stored for six years per accounting regulations.
When will we disclose your information to a third party?
We will only disclose your information when necessary to fulfil your order - for example through a postage or courier service, or if we are required to by law.
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through us), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
